Corn Maize

  • A-maize-ing Farms.”
  • Three different corn mazes, with a total of seven miles of paths, have been carved out of a 20-acre cornfield on East Broadway in Mayfield.
  • The design is of two tractors, the John Deere logo and the logo of Hutson’s Ag of Mayfield.
  • One of the mazes is smaller and designed for children. Te second maze is an intermediate course and the third larger and will take longer to get through.

 


  • In addition to the mazes, there will also be concessions with seasonal favorites, a corn cannon, a hayride and fall decorations for sale such as mums and cornstalks.
  • Admission is $10 for ages 6 and up. Ages 5 and under get in free. Hutson’s Ag in Mayfield is offering coupons for $2 off the price of entry.
  • The maze will be open through October 31.
  • Hours: Wednesday and Friday - 5 pm to 10 pm; Saturday- 10 am to 10 pm Sunday - 1 pm to 6 pm.
  • Maze-goers who plan on coming at night are encouraged to bring their own flashlights.

Eight miles NE of Mayfield.  Kaler Bottoms contains cypress swamps and hardwoods with wildlife of swamp rabbit, a great blue heron rookery and black vulture roost.  NO developed facilities.  Limited access.  Owned by the Department of Fish and Wildlife.  1843 acres. 

8,265 acres along a 40-mile stretch of Clarks River.

No established roads or trails. Only National Wildlife Refuge located entirely within
Kentucky. Hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing. Owned by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
